July will be a great month for the Victoria Manor Kids:

July 8th, from Noon to 1:30, there will be Kid's Game Day.
July 12th, from Noon to 2:00 we will be having Kid's Open Gym.
Since school is out for the summer, it will give the kids a

chance to use the amenities without getting into trouble.

Pizza Hut will be setting up by Pool on Saturday the 17th from Noon to 3:00.

Rick's Barbecue will be ready to serve you on Tuesday the 13th, from 4:00 to 8:00.

Brighthouse Resident Appreciation Day: Saturday the 24th at the Tiki Bar. Join us from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, for food and fun, all compliments of Brighthouse!

Save a Life! From 12:00 to 6:00 pm, the Blood Mobile will be parked in front of the office for your chance to save lives. We need at least 22 donors, so please sign up in the office. All donors will receive a free gift and will be entered into a drawing to win a cruise! Local police officers will also be present to teach children about safety and give a K9 demonstration.

Accidentally took home one of Victoria Manor's pool or gym towels? Well, not to worry! Victoria Manor is offering

"Towel Amnesty!"

With the weather getting warmer, our pool is getting more use, but our supply of pool towels is dwindling. We love offering our Residents this service, but we won't be able to continue unless we keep our supply of towels.

Please return any towels you have back to our used towels bins - no questions asked! And enjoy the pool!

Park Hopper Series: Dobbins Park

Victoria Manor Residents....the next park in our series is Dobbins Park. We all had a great time visiting Barnett Family Park, so join us on Thursday, May 20th when we visit Dobbins Park. Dobbins Park is located on Ariana Street. It is a family park with varied activities for all ages on 10.1 acres. It has a Fitness/jogging trail (.5 miles), a Multipurpose field, a Playground, 3 picnic pavilions, a Multipurpose court, 2 half basketball courts and a sand volleyball court. There should be plenty to keep us busy for the day.

Game Night Tonight

Our Gala on Cinco de Mayo has been rescheduled to Wednesday, May 26th. Although our Fiesta will not be on the traditional celebration day of Cinco de Mayo, we will still have a great time.

Administrative Professional's Day is Wednesday April 21st. This is one day that you DO NOT want to forget. It is as big a deal as forgetting your spouse's birthday or anniversary (UNACCEPTABLE)! So to avoid any repercussions, simply DON'T forget:

1. Publix offers a wide variety of decorated cakes - for speed and ease, use their on-line cake planner. This is a delicious way to say Thanks!
2. Give your Helper the afternoon off, WITH PAY!

3. Flowers are always a good pick, and can be selected at the market on your way to work.

4. My choice - Gift card for Free Gas!

(PS - Make sure you hand write the card yourself- do not ask your secretary to do this for you!)

Victoria Manor Park Hopper Series

Victoria Manor Residents are invited to spend Earth Day, April 22nd, with us at Barnett Family Park, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The newest jewel in Lakeland's impressive array of parks is Barnett Family Park. Barnett Family Park is designed to attract children and families, but there's plenty for everyone to enjoy. The elaborate sculptures of native Florida animals and beautiful hand-cut glass Byzantine tiles make the park unique. Barnett Family Park was built with a gift from Carol Jenkins Barnett and Barney Barnett. You can look forward to Victoria Manor's Park Hopper Series on the fourth Saturday of every month!

As always, don't forget about our Saturday Morning Breakfast at the Tiki Bar from 9:30 to 10:30.

Each month from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, a theme will be chosen for a Resdient dinner for those who would like to share dinner with their neighbors. These dinners will be held on the third Friday of every month in the Gym. Resident's will bring food and drink to match the theme - as well as their ticket into the event. Rember, whit is brought is what you eat, so try to bring enough for everyone to sample.

Doggy Bag Clean-Up Stations
are available

We have placed Doggy-Bag Clean-Up stations throughout

the community to make it easy for you to clean up

after your dog. Remember, cleaning up after your pet

is a condition of your lease. None of us are perfect, so

please let us know if any of the stations run out of

pick-up bags. We will promptly re-fill them.
